What is Guitar Autopilot?

Playing 'Guitar on Autopilot' refers to a state where you can effortlessly navigate the fretboard, hit all the right notes without conscious thought, and lose yourself in the moment playing with pure elation.

It's a level of mastery where your musical muscle memory takes over, allowing you to play with freedom, precision and fluidity.

When you reach the stage of playing on autopilot, you can focus on expressing yourself and connecting with the music, rather than struggling with technical aspects and overthinking.

It's a liberating, exhilarating and fulfilling experience that every guitarist aspires to achieve.

How Guitar Autopilot can unlock the fretboard for YOU....& get you playing guitar freely in front of audiences in less than 15 minutes a day

Hey, I'm Andrew -

A professional guitar tutor.

Before I discovered the Guitar Autopilot method, I was struggling with my guitar playing for years and was on the verge of giving up....

"I WAS SICK OF SEEING KID GUITARIST'S ON YOUTUBE, AS YOUNG AS 6, PLAY GUITAR BETTER THAN ME"

I'd sometimes put my guitar down for weeks, even months.

I was frustrated with my progress because I could only play cover songs, chords and the same riffs.....over and over again.

"I'd been playing guitar longer than these kids were born, so what did they know that I didn't?"

I wanted to progress and get better, but no matter how much time I spent practising, I was still missing the most important guitar skill that other guitarists had;

...The ability to play up and down the fretboard with freedom, while hitting all the right notes and still sounding amazing.

Whenever I tried to play notes outside of cover songs, I'd hit the wrong notes. There were areas on the fretboard that were out of bounds that I couldn't play in without sounding bad. Frets I would avoid. Notes I would avoid. I felt restricted.

It seems funny thinking about it looking back now...

I had to figure almost everything out the hard way. In fact, if a classical guitarist hadn't shown me this one aspect of playing, I'd probably still be stuck today....

Fortunately, this one missing lesson brought everything together.

"THE DEFINITION OF INSANITY IS DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS" -ALBERT EINSTEIN

I had already learnt the main skills like strumming, finger-picking, dozens of chords, pull-offs, hammer-ons, and bar chords. I could even play a few solos from my favorite songs, I practiced these over and over again...

..But I was still hitting a wall when it came to improvising.

I knew that it was time to try something NEW and different.

"BASED ON A FORGOTTEN GUITAR MASTERCLASS FROM THE 1960'S, USED BY PRO'S"...

It's easy to say now with the benefit of hindsight, but all I was missing was this one (very important) piece of the puzzle that put it all together.

And if you don't have this one piece, I'm afraid to tell you that you're always going to be stuck.

I know because I was stuck....for years...

Now, because you're on this page, you have the same opportunity today I had.

Today, you can break the cycle of trying, failing and feeling frustrated. Skip the deflating feeling of being mediocre compared to top guitarists.

It's up to you what you do next....

Option 1 - Carry on what you're doing. Continue the insanity of doing the same things and not improving. ❌ Playing the same songs and not progressing ❌ and not reaching your musical potential ❌ Watching guitarists as young as 6 years old on YouTube play better than you. .

OR

Option 2 - Take a proven path of success; Breakout of your guitar cage with Guitar Autopilot power lessons. Lessons so easy that a 6-year-old can learn it. Glide up and down the fretboard, improvise and express your inner music ability. Using a method recommended by students.

Hi, I'm Andrew, your Professional Guitar Tutor.

Running an online guitar school, I found almost all my mid-level beginners and intermediate students were coming to me stuck with the same 5 issues that were holding them back.

(And if you can't improvise or jam freely yet, then I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but chances are...you're probably making the same 5 mistakes too.

That's ok, because they are real easy to fix....when you know how...)

The strange thing was, it wasn't just newbie guitarists, who had these issues.

I've had guitarists who've been playing for 30 years, coming to me...

A musician that was in a local band who wrote their own songs but knew something was missing from their playing..

...Even a doctor who wanted to jam on stage and improvise but just couldn't figure out the fretboard.

....AND IF A DOCTOR CAN'T FIGURE HOW TO PLAY FREELY AROUND THE FRETBOARD WITHOUT THIS EASY LESSON, THEN WHAT CHANCE DO YOU HAVE?

The same 5 mistakes advanced beginner guitarists make...

...That are "so easy to fix, you will kick yourself"

"I found 95% of my guitar students were coming to me with the same 5 bad habits that were holding them back and keeping them stuck.

That's why I've created this course...to guide advanced beginner guitarists from being stuck playing covers and not knowing how to improvise......into proper guitarists that can jam and play freely....

BASED ON A FORGOTTEN MINI-MASTERCLASS FROM A 1960'S GUITAR TUTOR...

Over time, I've discovered the most easiest and efficient way to fine-tune these easy-to-fix habits using simple routines that 'autocorrect' them, giving you a rock-solid foundation to be able to skyrocket your progress to the next level.

Then, we give you the missing piece of the musical puzzle that puts it all together.....so you can start improvising and advance to play guitar on autopilot"

"I found that 95% of new guitar students were coming to me with the same 5 bad habits that were holding them back and keeping them stuck..."

Why do some 'advanced beginner' guitarists get stuck for years?

  • They have mental blocks about hitting the right notes
  • They play covers, maybe even perfectly, but when they try to jam or improvise they hit the wrong notes and don't know how to fix it
  • They keep putting the guitar down discouraged because they're bored of playing the same covers and riffs over and over again
  • Music theory, scales and keys baffles them
  • They can play chords, bar chords, power chords, maybe memorize their favorite guitar solos perfectly but can't jam or deviate much from the songs they already know
  • They want to become better guitarists, but no matter how much they practice, they don't make the right kind of progress
  • They've been playing for a while, but have not progressed as much as they'd have liked
  • They feel stuck in their guitar journey, stranded and left behind
  • They think it might be too late to become really good on guitar
  • Feel like their guitar journey is zig-zagging all over the place
  • Overwhelmed by information overload on YouTube and the internet
  • They suffer from perfectionism and performance anxiety in front of people as they don't know which notes go together well

Does any of this sound familiar?

It might seem like a long time since you first wanted to pick up the guitar, but let me as you a question....

Are you where you wanted to be when you first started playing guitar?

One thing that is clear from my experience, is that a guitarist's learning journey is unlike any other musicians.

Because there's never been one easy path to follow, you're left on your own to figure it all out.

Then there's the boring and pointless music theory books which are usually written for pianists rather than guitarists.

When you only need like 5% of what the books say you need to get started.

No wonder so many guitarists give up before reaching their potential....

Most guitarists start off full of enthusiasm, but then get stuck and lost in an inefficient learning cycle.

And their progress flatlines. They burnout and become discouraged.

This makes me angry and is a real tragedy!

It's not their fault.

There's not a lot out there that gives them the exact things they need and guides them.

I'M HERE TO TELL YOU...IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT!

  • Guitar mags don't teach you this
  • YouTube doesn't teach you this
  • Most guitar tutors don't teach you this
  • Music theory books don't teach you this!

Most guitarists experience progress burnout by the time they reach intermediate level because they haven't found a clear path to follow.

Many are too discouraged and simply give up.

This makes me angry! It's so frustrating because I know how simple AND EASY it is to fix!

There's no need to let your passion for guitar burnout.

I've developed short, 15-minute exercises that fine-tune your skills & break the easy-to-fix bad habits that have been holding you back and give you a rock-solid technique foundation.

Then, we give you the missing piece to the musical puzzle that puts it all together...

So you can hit all the right notes to the right songs....

And watch your progress can skyrocket...

BASED ON A FORGOTTEN GUITAR TEACHING METHOD FROM THE 1960'S...

If you take this one class, you'll realize your guitar journey is actually just beginning....

It's what you do next, that will determine your future guitar success....

"Hi, I'm Andrew. I've been playing guitar and professionally tutoring people for +20 years."

professional guitar tutor

After professionally tutoring guitarists, I discovered all my students came to me with the same 5 problems and the same missing knowledge gap time and time again.

So I decided to find the quickest way to bridge that knowledge gap so they can make it all click and move on to the next level of jamming and improvising freely. These became the first few months of lessons.

Hence, Guitar Autopilot was born....

I created compact power routines that fast-track & accelerate a guitarist's progress in as little as 15 minutes per day.

Routines that autocorrect the 5 bad habits that have been holding you down, so your progress can skyrocket...

  • Play guitar anywhere on the fretboard navigating and soloing without thinking.
  • Feel a surge of confidence as you go with the flow in any musical situation with ease.
  • Become the accomplished musician guitarist you've always dreamed of.
  • Reach your musical potential.

EUREKA!

How does it work?

The problem with most guitar tutors learning methods is that they are always in the 'copying mindset'.

They have you copying chords, copying songs, copying music theory, without ever unleashing your own talent.

When tutors have you practising the wrong things means your creativity muscle isn't being developed.

So they're not training your own musical muscles. So your own talent is not developing. This limits your ability significantly.

We have simple, defined methods that when deployed can unlock your ability.

These counteract the common mistakes students come to me with and overcome them.

Most of the time, they don't even realise they're making these small mistakes, until they've done the exercises and then their progress has skyrocketed.

I've provided simple fine-tuning exercises that 'autocorrect' these bad habits.

guitar on s

Another proud moment was opening my own guitar school.

gultar school
rewind ima

Stop the tape and rewind to years earlier...... because, it wasn't always like this.

You see, I started playing guitar back when I was 8 years old, but I didn't properly play guitar for at least another decade.

I've had a lot of setbacks in my guitar-learning journey....

I was thrown out of my very first guitar lesson (I had ADHD as a kid but the teacher didn't understand back then).

When I finally got a guitar lesson, my guitar tutor showed me chords, using chord sheets and then strumming along to songs.

I then went to high school where there was no guitar tutor so my journey was put on hold.

I got a music theory book from the library but it confused the hell out of me as it wasn't written for guitar - it was geared for classical instruments.

So I learnt more songs from guitar tab and chord sheets and played cover songs.

I've had to sell guitars, I've had a guitar stolen, but that's another story....

I've been humiliated trying to impress girls with my playing.

I'd failed auditions but instead got in a covers band.

I've met famous guitarists.

Me and my guitar have been on a heck of a journey.

Since I was a kid, all I wanted to do was play guitar (and impress girls).

Life does get in the way sometimes, but I always come back to my guitar playing.

No matter what has happened, my guitar has always been there for me.

After a few years, I had learnt all the main chords; bar chords, power chords...

I could do pull-offs, pull-ons, bends, some finger picking....

I even got to the stage where I could play some covers perfectly. Even memorise a few solos.

But something was missing.

I'd reached a limit to what I could play....

I felt mediocre because I couldn't improvise or 'play in key'.

If I tried to play anything new, jam or improvise, I'd hit the wrong notes and sound bad.

I wasn't a complete guitarist.

Local guitarists I knew would go on stage at jam nights at local bars, and play up and down the fretboard and improvise effortlessly.

The audience would be captivated and mesmerised as they wailed. They'd come off to applause and attention.

But I could only play covers and riffs from songs. If I tried to improvise, it would sound bad.

The thought of jamming and improvising with other musicians at a jam night made my palms go sweaty.

I didn't want to make an idiot out of myself.

I could play cover songs, but what if they said something like: "Let's play this in a different key?"

I've heard musicians say this but I didn't really understand what that meant. I just knew if I played at a jam night, I would have to play covers perfectly because if anyone deviated from the exact cover and improvise, I would just sound out of tune, hit the wrong notes, be out of sync with what everyone else is playing and just freeze.

It would be a disaster so I avoided it.

I was ashamed because I didn't know how to hit the right notes when improvising.

I was stuck playing covers. That was my comfort zone.

I really wanted to get better....

They say 'Practice makes perfect' and although practice helped me play cover songs perfectly, no matter how much I practised, I still couldn't progress to improvising and playing all over the fretboard.

It was frustrating because no matter how much I practised, there were always guitarists that were way ahead of me....

The ones that could just turn up at jam nights at the local bar and play solos off the top of their head, effortlessly navigating the fretboard.

Improvising and just going with the flow.

They sounded incredible and made it look so easy.

They captivated the crowd and entertained them.

They came off stage to applause and I noticed the girls at the bar were mesmerised by their playing and knew who they were.

I'd had enough. I wanted to get good... like really good.

I decided to dedicate more time to my playing.

I practised and practised, but no matter how much time I spent playing, I still couldn't progress.

I was stuck at the same level; all I could play was covers and riffs. I couldn't improvise.

frustrated g

I was so frustrated and discouraged with my progress, I would put the guitar down for weeks, sometimes for months without playing.

I'd eventually pick it up again, play the same riffs and songs that I'd always known.

Without progressing, without getting better. I'd be stuck in a cycle.

I'd soon get fed up and burntout playing the same songs and riffs.

I knew if I was making my own music, I wouldn't get bored.

I tried almost everything......

I tried learning new songs, learning solos, chord charts, reading guitar tab, watching videos, private tutor, YouTube videos, books from the library, jamming with friends....

I knew bar chords, power chords, I could play solos from my favourite bands Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam & Metallica.

But still, something just wasn't clicking.

I just wasn't able to progress to the next level and improvise with freedom.

My musical journey was a big tangled mess.

I was missing something important and needed a structured way of learning.

My friends and family had all heard me playing covers and thought I could play the guitar...

But they didn't know my secret....

The truth was; I couldn't really play guitar. I could only memorise covers and copy riffs note for note.

Guitar is about musical expression, not copying note for note.

The reality was that, other than memorising notes from songs...

I wasn't a real musician.

I couldn't jam and improvise.

I felt like a fraud.

As soon as I tried to improvise, I would hit a bum note and sound awful.

I was desperate to become unstuck. But I just didn't know how.

I'd tried everything.

I felt like everything I tried led to a dead-end.

Strumming along to chords any playing covers only got me so far.

Learning from YouTube videos is like an information overload and didn't get me anywhere.

It is like playing roulette - you don't know what random video you're going to get next.

They either assume you know nothing or assume you know everything - there's no middle ground.

One minute you're watching a video on learning chords you already know, which is too basic, the next video they're talking about notes, keys, music theory and scales and you're completely lost and overwhelmed.

It is like someone throwing pieces from different puzzles on the floor and expecting you to put together a picture. It's impossible.

There is no coherent structure. It's difficult to navigate to the next level without proper guidance.

I was beginning to think I was just stuck forever....

and I was resigned to staying at the same level, playing the same songs.

I felt like I was going round in circles

"But then, something a classical guitarist taught me changed everything...."

"It was like someone removed the blindfold"

One simple pattern for lead guitarists was all it took...

A pattern that was as easy as learning an ordinary chord.

I call it a 'dynamic chord'....

Once I knew it, it unlocked the whole fretboard.

Everything just started to fall into place and make sense.

With this missing formula....

I could glide up and down the fretboard with ease.

And hit all the right notes and felt like an accomplished guitarist.

Playing like this became instinctive, as easy as changing a chord.

It's like a state of mind, without even thinking about it.

Playing guitar subconsciously and your fingers know where all the right notes are....

...And when to play different notes.

You start to understand why guitarists shut their eyes...

I call this....

GUITAR AUTOPILOT

"Once I learned this framework, my guitar-playing skills progressed faster than ever before...."

When I finally figured it all out, there was no stopping me....

I've since achieved musical goals I never thought would be possible....

Improvising and flowing up and down the fretboard....

I had the courage to go to jam nights coming off stage to rapturous applause.

I progressed to playing on bigger musical stages.

I've recorded albums in recording studios, and played at music festivals.

Can anyone play GUITAR on AUTOPILOT?

Yes, it doesn't matter how old or young you are, anyone can learn it - it's a simple formula that I've taught to hundreds of students....

Just like when you're learning to drive a car, you have to learn dozens of micro steps as you're learning....

Like, check your mirrors, start the engine, release the handbrake, put your foot on the accelerator.....

But now you've learnt to drive, you just get in the car and go....

without even thinking about it.

Like you're on autopilot.

It's the same with the Guitar Autopilot system.

Once you learn a simple dynamic chord for lead guitar and practised, you can play lead Guitar on Autopilot too.

We teach you everything you need to know so you can start improvising like a pro and glide up and down the fretboard.
